The Steel Greatsword is a special Two-Handed weapon located in Skyrim. Enchanted Steel Greatswords will begin to appear throughout Skyrim at level 3 and the unenchanted ones at level 2. Crafting the Greatsword requires the Steel Smithing perk. It can be forged with the following components: Leather Strips, Steel Ingots and Iron Ingots. It can be upgraded with a Steel Ingot and it benefits from the Steel Smithing perk (doubles the improvement).
